Dragami Games confirms the return of this hack and slash starring a cheerleader without giving further details.
This week marks the 10th anniversary of the release in major markets of Lollipop Chainsaw, a hack and slash action video game by Grasshopper Manufacture for PS3 and Xbox 360 where a cheerleader had to make her way through a zombie apocalypse with chainsaw in hand, giving way to a proposal full of humor and blood. Since then little more has been known about the title, until now.
As echoed by Twinfinite, Yoshimi Yasuda, CEO of Dragami Games, has advanced on Twitter the return of the video game without giving further details.
Lollipop Chainsaw hit stores 10 years ago for PS3 and Xbox 360.Everything seems to indicate that Dragami Games has taken over the rights to the video game, so it could be working on some kind of remastering for current systems that would allow a new generation of gamers to get to know one of the most fun zombie video games of its time. However, behind the project was Suda51 and American filmmaker James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy), screenwriter of the remake of George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead, to whom the work pays tribute.
