For several years now, Thursdays are the favorite days for lovers of free games thanks to Epic Games Store’s commitment to free gifts. The PC retailer offers this week the opportunity to get without paying a euro with Ring of Pain, an adventure of dungeon exploration and card battles.
“Immerse yourself in randomly generated circular zones where danger and rewards await you in equal measure. Observe your surroundings and plan the most suitable route – do you go for the loot, or do you take down the lurking monster first? Collect items, fight monsters or stealthily avoid them. Featuring turn-based battles, Ring of Pain has managed to carve out a niche for itself on PC by amassing 92% positive reviews on Steam, with over 2,350 reviews written to date. It originally hit stores in 2020 and currently retails for €19.99. Outside of compatible users can find the adventure on Xbox and Switch.
Apart from the roguelike, Epic Games Store is giving away until this coming September 30 the Bungie 30th anniversary pack for Destiny 2, which has just been released on the video game store also counting on an interesting crossover on Fortnite and Fall Guys.
For the following week, and for those who were missing some triple-A, the gift of Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is announced. Submerged: Hidden Depths, released earlier this year, will also be available for download.
