Players request this Halo Infinite feature to be in Overwatch 2

After months of complete silence, Overwatch 2 is slowly returning to the spotlight. The preceding is not surprising, as the first closed Beta is now on the other side of the esquina. While we slowly approach this period of testing, fans turn to social media and message boards to learn about the elements they want to see in this episode.

As we reported a few weeks ago, a rumor suggested that Blizzard’s hero shooter could have a Battle Pass, or a progression system that allows players to earn rewards for playing and progressing through levels. This style is really popular, and we can find it in games like Fortnite, VALORANT, Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone, and others.

Even though it is still unknown whether or not Overwatch 2 will use this monetization strategy, a segment of the community has already voiced its concerns. Likewise, several players have already shared some ideas that, in their opinion, will benefit the game and eliminate frustrations.

FANS WISH FOR OVERWATCH 2’S BATTLE PASS TO BE IDENTICAL TO HALO INFINITE.

Unlike other multiplayer games, Halo Infinite’s Battle Pass does not have an expiration date. This means that fans who buy them will be able to unlock all of the content at their own pace, which will, of course, eliminate frustration and the feeling of playing against the clock. It goes without saying that this characteristic was well received by the community.

As a result of the foregoing, fans hope that this element will be replicated in Overwatch 2. As one Reddit user put it, ensuring that Battle Passes never expire prevents players from feeling compelled to play and eliminates the feeling of being forced.

On the other hand, the fanatic thinks it’s a good idea for users to be able to obtain premium currency with these Battle Passes, allowing them to purchase more cosmetics without having to pay extra money. Many players came out in support of these initiatives.

It’s worth noting that, at the time of writing these lines, it’s unclear whether Blizzard’s hero shooter will use this system in the first place. Everything appears to indicate that we will have to wait until the start of the testing period to verify it.

Overwatch 2 is currently in development on the PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
